Tip #4 Cost savings measures

Here are some websites I use to save money on things I buy:

For groceries: www.fabulesslyfrugal.com  Just an awesome website showing you how to stretch the dollar by matching coupons and sales at local stores.  Here I try to be an extreme couponer.  On this website I learned how to get black friday's deals at Wal-Mart but avoiding the crowd. Here is the link: http://fabulesslyfrugal.com/2012/11/start-your-black-friday-shopping-at-walmart-now-layaway-and-price-matching.html

For shopping online: www.bradsdeals.com  They find amazing bargains on the web and even have extra special discounts at stores.  I like getting the daily email showing the items they found.

Online Promo Codes: www.retailmenot.com  Before I buy anything on line I search for promotional codes for the online store.  Their don't always work but when they do cha-ching!

For shows and events: www.goldstar.com  Usually the tickets are half price and lots of fun things to do and see.

What else would you like to see in my blog?  What problems are you having with you Apple products.  Let me help you?  Do you want more chatter or just the tip?

And look now I have ads!  So click away if you see something interesting...

  1. I am thinking about getting an IPad and now there are so many choices, how do I figure out which one is good for me?

  2. Wow, my first comment. I am so excited even though it is from my sister. Thanks Janet!

Think about what you are going to use the iPad for... Reading in bed or as a 'laptop'? I have an iPad2 and love it. But I do find it getting heavy when I am reading in bed. I would love to get a mini. In fact I am thinking about getting it and giving my iPad2 to mom (but I will have to wrestle it away from the kids).

The good thing about the iPad is I can type almost as fast as I do on a computer. I can use all my fingers, not just one. If I was writing a term paper, I would definitely rather use a computer, but an iPad is fine for long emails and such. Plus I love the big screen (as compared to the iPhone). I can see websites without having to install their silly apps (although they still ask me to and I say no thanks take me to the full website).

So if you think your main use will be reading in bed get an iPad mini.
If you are going to use it as a portable computer working on your lap or at a table, or reading while sitting up, then get the iPad2 or the new one if you can afford it.

One other thing is covers. I love the apple magnetic cover. I is lightweight, doesn't add much thickness to the iPad and works well (when folded in a triangle) as a handle. I also like the angle it give when I am typing on my iPad. I love that opening or closing the cover turns the iPad on and off.

I love comments so ask away!
